Ryan is excited to begin his second season with The Northbrook Golf Academy. He joined Sportsman's Professional Staff in 2010 after graduating from Winona State University with a degree in Recreation and Tourism. In addition to his success in the classroom, Ryan also enjoyed success on the golf course while playing on the men's golf team at Winona, and was part of the 2007 NSIC Championship team.

This season Ryan will be directing the Junior Leagues at Sportsman's Country Club and Anetsberger Golf Course, and is looking forward to the opportunity to grow the game of golf within the youth community. He believes our youth provide the future for the game of golf, while the game of golf can provide leadership, discipline, integrity, honesty and many other positive attributes.

At 8 years old, Ryan started playing golf in his local junior golf program. In addition to junior clinics, he also participated in the junior league and junior tournaments in his community. This led him to competitive golf in the Illinois Junior Golf Association and the Plantation Junior Golf Tour, as well as his high school and college teams. Being a PGA apprentice allows him to continue tournament play in the Illinois Professional Golfers' Association section events.

While Ryan continues his competitive play, he is excited with the opportunity to introduce and grow the game through private lessons, clinics, and junior leagues.
