Entering grades 4-9

Tryouts ($25 per person): June 1 - 4pm at Sportsman's, June 2 - 9am at Anetsberger
(Registrations due May 31, 2012, Leagues begin June 11)

The Northbrook Golf Academy Travel League fields two teams - the North Shore Youth Travel Team (Sportsman’s Squad) and the North Suburban Youth Travel Team (Anetsberger Squad). The teams work together to prepare young players for high school golf and elite-level play. At least 15 graduates of the league - boys and girls - played on golf teams last year at Glenbrook North High School.

Players who qualify for the Anetsberger squad focus on skill development and course presence (etiquette, rules, and personal conduct),while the focus of the Sportsman’s squad is shot making, course management and developing a competitive mindset. The teams will practice together to encourage continuity in player development and build smart practice habits. Players are responsible for arranging transportation to practices and tournaments.

Parents and prospective players are encouraged to attend a meeting with the PGA coaching staff on Saturday, April 14^th, from 10-11 am at Sportsman's C.C. Clubhouse.

Players are encourage to enroll in the Northbrook Golf Academy’s Youth Development Program or take private lessons from a NGA coach to continue their development and improve their competitive edge.

Fees: Anetsberger Squad $579, Sportsman’s Squad $750

Included:

• All green fees and entry fees for Monday Tournaments (tee times between 12-2pm), and a sleeve of golf balls for each tournament.
• Two team practices per week at Sportsman’s or Anetsberger (Tuesday and Friday)
• Weekly team practice green fees, practice balls and coaching fees. Practices may include high speed video and TrackMan™ technology.
• IJGA Membership
• Pre-Paid card for additional practice balls at the range
• Discounted green fees and range balls for additional practice and play
• Team shirt, cap, and golf bag to use during the travel team season
• Equipment evaluation and club fitting
• 10% discount in the golf shop on hard goods and 20% on soft goods
• Season-ending team party
