 The PGA Professionals of the Northbrook Golf Academy are dedicated to helping you improve your skills and your enjoyment of the game. With a step-by-step approach, our instruction develops and coaches students from beginners through tournament-level golfers. We offer both private and group lessons. Our group instruction clinics are fun and organized to stimulate learning and build solid fundamentals. You will receive tailored instruction in areas of the game where you need the most help. We guarantee a student/teacher ratio of 6:1 or better. Welcome to Golf: Level 1 Explore the fun of golf as you learn the game or return to playing. We will help you become comfortable with our facility and learn how to book starting times, select the right equipment, practice at the range, and use a golf car as you enjoy an on-course tour. Instruction covers the basics of putting, chipping and the full swing.
Get Golf Ready: Level 2 Learn to play with confidence, and enjoy the challenges along the way. Develop your golf swing and short game skills while gaining a better understanding of the game. You will take your newly acquired skills and use them on-course. This level is suitable for beginners, recreational and returning players. Students receive a free round at Anetsberger Golf Course for additional play.
Play Better Golf: Level 3 Take your game to the next level on-course, as you target the areas that need the most improvement with specialized instruction on full swing and short game techniques. Students enjoy time on-course during and after class and receive a free round for addititonal play on the Sportsman's East 9 course. This level is best suited for recreational and intermediate players.
Polish Your Swing: Level 4 Hit the ball more consistently and farther, as you gain a deeper understanding of your swing through the role of physics. Instructors utilize new technology, including high speed video swing analysis and ball flight and club data from our TrackMan Doppler radar system. In addition, we will discuss the benefits of proper equipment and club fitting. This class is best suited for intermediate and avid players.
Secrets of the Short Game: Level 5 Getting to the green is only half the battle; the secret to lowering scores lies in your short game. You will learn techniques for executing those shots, which will lower your handicap and take pressure off your full swing. We will review putting, chipping, pitching, bunker and wedge play. Students receive a free round at Anetsberger Golf Course.
Private Lessons: Level 6  Take your game to the next level with one-on-one instruction to focus on the areas that need the most improvement. Contact the Northbrook Golf Academy to arrange private lessons with our PGA Professionals or PGA Apprentices, and our instructors will design a step-by-step plan to help you achieve your goals. NGA professionals also can customize semi-private or small group lessons to meet your needs.
